I'm Saksham — a video editor who came to the timeline through the newsroom. I spent over a decade in journalism, content writing and editing, and the last three years editing video professionally.
That background shapes everything I cut. I read the script like a reporter, find the real story, and build the edit around it: a strong hook, a clear arc, deliberate pacing and a satisfying ending. Then I layer in cinematic visuals, maps, typography and sound until it feels right.
I love thoughtful subjects — history, culture, cricket, spirituality, science and big ideas — and I prefer nuance over noise.

Every project is different — final quotes depend on footage length, research, graphics and deadline. These give you a clear starting point.

Prices are starting points, not fixed quotes. Upwork projects follow Upwork's milestone and payment terms.
How we'll work together
Payment
50% advance before work begins, 50% on approval before final delivery. Long projects can be split into milestones. Payment via bank transfer / UPI (India), or PayPal / Wise (international).
Revisions
Each package includes two revision rounds. A round is one consolidated list of changes. Additional rounds or changes to the agreed script/brief are billed separately.
Turnaround
Shorts: 2–3 working days. Short documentaries: 5–7 working days. Long-form: 10–14 working days. Timelines start once the advance and all materials are received. Rush delivery is available.
What I need from you
Final script or voiceover, raw footage and assets, brand guidelines (if any), and 2–3 reference videos you like.
Previews & delivery
Drafts are shared as watermarked previews. Final unwatermarked exports are delivered once the balance is paid. Delivery via Google Drive or WeTransfer.
Rights & usage
On full payment you receive full rights to use the final video on your channels and platforms. I may show the work in my portfolio unless we agree otherwise in writing — confidential projects are always respected.
Project files
Premiere Pro project files and source assets are not included by default and can be provided for an additional fee.
Music & assets
I use properly licensed or royalty-free music and stock, and copyright-safe AI visuals. Assets you supply must be cleared for use by you.
Cancellation
If a project is cancelled after work starts, the advance covers work completed and is non-refundable.
